Our Founder

Dr. Buchanan graduated from Pacific University, College of Optometry with a doctor of optometry degree. He practiced in Oregon, Missouri and Saudi Arabia prior to settling in Port Orchard in 1985. He enjoys the general practice of optometry, treating patients of all ages with various eye and vision problems. In his leisure time he enjoys golf, traveling, and gardening. He and his wife Dianne live in Port Orchard and have 2 grown sons and two grandchildren.

Dr. Buchanan retired in the spring of 2018 and has referred all of his patients into the hands of his partner associate, Dr. Joseph Trull.
